Advantages of Office 365 or Microsoft 365 at a glance

Microsoft 365 (formerly: Office 365) has these advantages over the classic Office package with Microsoft Consulting firm.



  • With Microsoft 365 you always get the latest version of Microsoft Office.
  • You can use your applications on any device, i.e. computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
  • The offer is not only suitable for Windows operating systems, but is also fully available for macOS, iOS and Android.
  • You get an additional 1 TB of storage per registered user with Microsoft's cloud service OneDrive .
  • Microsoft allows you to install Office 365 on up to five computers at the same time, depending on the package.
  • Your documents and settings are synced across devices when you sign in with your Microsoft account.
  • Finally, the provider offers technical support via chat and telephone for the full subscription period. With the one-off purchase of Office Home, this is not the case in the long term.
  • For companies, Microsoft promises GDPR- compliant and secure data storage on German servers.

Packages, programs, and costs in Microsoft 365

  • Depending on the package, Microsoft 365 or Office 365 includes the following programs, which can be supplemented with additional apps:
  • Microsoft 365 offers Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, OneDrive and Skype in premium quality for private users. The family version for 2 to 6 people costs 99 euros a year or 10 euros a month, while the single version for one user is 69 euros a year or 7 euros a month.
  • In addition to Word, Excel and PowerPoint, the Microsoft 365 Business Basic for companies package also includes Teams, Exchange , OneDrive and SharePoint . A monthly fee of EUR 4.20 per person is due for this.
  • Microsoft 365 Business Standard, in turn, supplements the basic equipment of Word, Excel and PowerPoint with Publisher and Access for the PC. Like the Basic Edition, this package also includes Teams, Exchange, OneDrive and SharePoint at a price of EUR 10.50 per user per month.
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium also includes all of these functions and programs, with the difference that Intune and Azure Information Protection are also attached. A hefty surcharge of 6.40 euros is due for this, so the package is 16.90 euros per user and month.
  • The last option besides the full license for 299 euros is Microsoft 365 Apps for 8.80 euros per month per person. The package only includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access and OneDrive.
  • All packages, except for Microsoft 365 Single, can be tested free of charge for one month.

The Office365 web applications are constantly updated so that you are always working with the latest version. Poor internet connection hinders work

Location-independent mobile working is desirable, but only works as a pure cloud solution with a good internet connection. If you don't have a good network at a location, you can't use the Office365 web applications either - and accordingly you can't work with them either.
